Junior Chef - Full Time
The junior chef for our coffee shop will focus primarily on creating a delightful breakfast menu that enhances our customers' morning experience. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast items such as pastries, omelets, and sandwiches, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The junior chef also assist in menu planning and ensuring all food adheres to our quality and safety standards. A for breakfast dishes and a team-oriented attitude are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen;

Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards;

Stock and maintain designated food station(s);
-
Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed;
-
Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner;

Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces;
-
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the staff;
-
Follow recipes and prepare breakfast/brunch dishes;
-
Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking;
-
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies;
-
Organizing Kitchen, Cleaning and detailing on a daily basis;
-
Cooking menu items in a timely manner and working as a team;
-
Clean up station and set up the next shift;
-
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards;
-
Chop vegetables, prepare batter, sauces and other food preparation.
Requirements:
-
Breakfast experience; Eggs, Bacon, Waffles, Pancakes, French Toast, Sausages, cereals, etc. creatively
-
Strong attention to detail;
-
Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal;
-
Experience as a Breakfast Cook a plus;
-
Ability to communicate and listen to team members & management;
-
Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs;
-
2 years experience in a kitchens would be great

Pastry Chef - Full Time
Our Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods and desserts, ensuring high quality and presentation standards. They develop new recipes, inventory, and oversee kitchen operations while maintaining a clean and workspace. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for baking are in this role. Collaboration with other kitchen staff and excellent time management skills are also important to meet service demands.

Experience & Qualifications

Knowledge in food fermentation and preservation
-
Must possess knowledge of all aspects of pastry production, to include but not limited to, pastries, breads, sweets, ice cream, fillings and toppings, including design, creation and execution of dessert menus, pastries and specialty / wedding cakes.

Must have experience in cost controls, budgeting, taking inventory, forecasting, proper ordering and receiving, staff management.

Independent, responsible and multi-tasking are preferred.

Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Coffee Barista - Full Time
Moka is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Coffee Barista who is passionate about coffee and provides remarkable customer service with a “ Say Yes to the Guest attitude” while serving beverage and food orders. In addition to coffee, our barista must be versatile, specifically to: prepare sandwiches, waffles & frappes, mocktails serve pastries, checkout customers using Point of Sale Software & clean the cafe.
